JOHN HANLIN — Douglas County Sheriff, (2009)

John Hanlin was elected in 2009 after working with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office since 1989 as a patrol deputy, investigator and narcotics detective. He also served as a member of the DCSO Tactical Response Team. Hanlin was commander of the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team and headed the DCSO Detectives Division. The Douglas County Sheriff is a nonpartisan office by state law. Hanlin is a Republican.
